Interesting! I actually touched on this in my last substack about prehistory and horror. I suspect that many more archaic hominids who interbred to create modern humans will be discovered in the next few decades.
Let’s be dead honest… any accelerationist, collapsitarian, or whatever they wish to call themselves wants things to go to hell in a hand basket so they can meet out violence to those they deem deserving. Nobody wants the collapse of society so they can garden in peace and cold poverty. The underlying hope is that when the police surveillance state is gone one can enact justice/revenge wherever they see fit for their benefit. Imagine the England riots recently without the nanny state to crush the natives who were mad their little girls were stabbed. We are fast approaching a point when disenfranchised males will gladly trade an energy grid for the “loicense” to punish those who attack them. Fascinating article Keith. Gonna order your book.
You probably made a typo in this essay. You cannot state both:
"For a non-African person, it is likely that between 10 and 20% of their ancestors are Neanderthal"
AND
" 3-5% of the DNA of aboriginal people of Papua New Guinea, Australia, the Philippines and other nearby islands came from Denisovans. This is more admixture than Eurasian people have with Neanderthals."
Yuropeans have 1-2% of Neaderthal DNA.
Otherwise great essay, I'll order several copies of your book, it makes for a great Christmas present.
For what it is worth, I have Irish family and they hold the English in the highest respect eg JRR Tolkien, Edward Rice Burroughs, Rudyard Kipling, Lord Baden-Powell, the list goes on. A truly noble race of men, the English.
Great article! Funny enough I saw the same argument presented by Alexander Macris over a year ago, who talked about why its ok to have innately evil races such as orcs within D&D (he's the creator of a spinoff called ACKS):
He essentially argues the same thing, that we have a shared genetic memory of fighting these horrible creatures, and orcs aren't, in fact, a racist representation of some other culture, but a callback to our brutal fight for survival against something that cannot ever coexist with us.
I hate how they Keep depicting Early humans With Melalin Darker skin or at least tanned skin to implie white cro magazines humans only emerged in evolution recently hence weaponising the term 'severe your history and roots' tactic. I So Fucking sick that shite when I remember when I was younger lad and obsessed with prehistoric mammals and early man evolution that the art and media depictions were not dark and melanin.
