My Speech At The Reconquista Congress

I had the honour of attending this year’s Reconquista Congress in Lisbon. This is just the second annual conference put together by Reconquista, and I was hugely impressed by what they’ve already built. It’s moralising to find a group full of young activists that “get it” in all ways, and that’s what I found in Lisbon. Personally, it was humbling to find so many people had watch my videos, some as far as five years ago, and found inspiration to get involved in a movement like this.

Even though most of the speeches were in Portuguese, I still found all of them very engaging. The congress provided live translations for the foreign guests — myself, Steve Laws and Dries Van Langenhove. This was my first time meeting Steve Laws, and I was pleased to discover he’s very funny in person. Steve spoke on the why and how of remigration, a topic that was never far away in the other speeches of the conference. Dries gave a rousing speech on the trials he has faced as an activist in Belgium, but why in spite of our persecution, it is “the greatest time to be alive”.

“The lands of our ancestors must remain the lands of our descendants. Our ancestors spilled blood, sweat and tears to be able to continue the chain of generations. It is our duty to make this chain of generation stronger than ever before.” — Dries Van Lagenhove

My own speech was on the need for a collectivist movement, which seems especially relevant now with the comeback of libertarianism in figures like Javier Milei and Elon Musk.

With the quality of people involved and the effort that was put into the production of this event, I have no doubt that this young movement will keep punching above it’s weight and we’ll be hearing a lot more from Portugal in the coming years. Amazing things are happening in Europe!
